A few screenshots from the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 environments, presenting some of the material work I did for buildings exteriors and interiors. Those environments are the result of collaborative work, passion and dedication of many talented people and departments. One of the biggest challenges for me, when creating materials for this project, was to create materials that will work well when used across the whole city, in every "time of the day" scenario. For such a large and open world project, it is hard to predict how and when a certain material will be used so, that required a bit different approach - while textures could still have a lot of details when viewed from up close, they needed to look a bit more "toned down" when viewed from far away and on top of that, all those materials needed to "work" with each other when used to texture a certain area.
